Well, after 4, yes FOUR VERY LONG days of cleaning the girls have FINALLY finished picking-up their room!! IT was a hard 4 days! The girls would get 90% done and then MESS it all up again.. but thanks to gram they finished this afternoon.

Gram to the rescue! No she didn’t clean the room but she did spend almost two hours instructing the girls as what to pick-up.. I did try this myself but they just didn’t want to listen to mom. They were having too much fun playing rather than picking-up.

Anyway, the room is clean.. for now.. and the girls get to keep their toys and books.. for now.. We will be weeding out things in the next month.

If you look at the first picture you can see all their books.. they were ALL on the floor! The second picture of the basket with small stuffed animals.. yes.. those were all over the floor too.. and the bin in front of the closet.. all that was on the floor (it was the last thing left to sort through and the girls finished that before leaving for WalMart). The plastic shelving in the closet and dino tote on the floor.. and everything else… YES… it was ALL over their floor, under their beds and you could barely walk anywhere without almost stepping on something! But everything is back in it’s place and the girls hopefully are ready to keep it clean.

Anyhow, in celebration of a clean room we got to leave the house!! Mike took us to the library to sign-up for home school coop!! After that we went to WalMart! The girls love to go through the toy sections but what kid doesn’t. Haley also loves the fishing section!

At WalMart we found a new bird feeder, some seeds for said feeder, suet for our other bird feeder and of course we let them pick a small item..

Autumn was torn between a cat or bird Littlest Pet Shop.. the cat won..

And Haley.. well Haley was torn between Whimzy animal for her collection… or a fishing lure! Of course daddy was beaming when she decided on the fishing lure and well.. I also had a smile on my face!

Haley picked the Rapala F-7 Firetiger.. Here she is admiring her new fishing lure… hooks removed of course! She took almost 5 minutes deciding between the F-5, F-7 and some other brand.

On the drive home she told us a story about how she was going to fishing with her lure.. “gotta put the hooks back on.. then tie it to my fishing rod.. then put it in the water and the worm will come..” It was such a cute story!

And for those of you wondering… yes she went to bed with her lure..
